How It Works

The Process | FAQ

Do you want to elope? Wondering how it works?

Before getting into how it works, what does elope mean? The definition of what an elopement is has transformed a lot in the last few years. Instead of being secretive and hidden, elopements focus on you and your partner. You get to decide how you want your elopement experience to look, who you want to include, where you want it to be, and what you want to wear. The options are endless! You might have a bunch of ideas and be unsure of what to do next and that’s where we come in! We’re here to help guide you and work together to create an experience that screams you!

Some of our more frequently asked questions about how it works and logistics are listed here.  But if you don’t see what you’re looking for, please feel free to ask us anything!

We don’t have the traditional “home base” that most people do. Instead, we live in our converted Sprinter Van and have been on the road for three years now. We can usually be found somewhere on the West Coast, USA!

Yes! All of our travel fees are included in our pricing.  Additional fees may apply when beyond our travel schedule.

We deliver about 200 - 400 images for an elopement.  We like to provide quality images over quantity. Generally, we're shooting thousands of shots over the day and sorting and editing to give you the very best images.

Your images will be delivered to you through an online gallery that is password protected for your privacy.  You'll be able to download these to share, print, and enjoy.  You will also be able to order prints directly through this gallery via one of our favorite printing companies. This way you can print your own albums, Christmas cards, engagement photos, or beautiful canvases to hang on the walls of your home!

The weather can change pretty quickly in the mountains,  and we'll help prepare you for the best of whatever mother nature can throw at us!  We've shot in all types of weather, and a rainy/snowy/windy day can add some great atmosphere for the photos!  With that said, we always like to chat about a backup plan in case the weather is too wild and could cause potential harm (i.e. crazy lightning or whiteout blizzard).

We like to help with the whole day, including scouting locations, helping with permits, suggesting lodging ideas, travel plans, vendor suggestions (i.e. local hair, make-up, florists, and bakeries), and a ton of other things big and little. We won't book any vendors for you, but rather provide you with the information and let you choose someone you want to work with!
If you think you still would like more help with details, we can recommend some of the wedding planners we've loved working with.  They can create a fully designed elopement or intimate wedding -- for example, a meticulously designed table setting, wedding arches, fabulous meals, and more.

Great question! Our adventure sessions are designed to be exactly that: an adventure! They are up to 2 hours long and can include things like hiking, biking, climbing, bouldering, kayaking, paddle boarding, casual walks and more!  These sessions are great for surprise proposals, engagements, couples sessions, anniversaries or just because.

Yes, we do!!  Becky is an ordained Minister by Open Ministry and can legally perform ceremonies in all 50 states. We love being able to offer this service, but if you have someone else in mind, bring them along!   One thing to note, while Becky is performing a ceremony, there will only be one photographer for that part.
