Rachelle and Salvador’s adventure elopement day was everything an all-inclusive elopement package should be: personal, emotional, and filled with once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Getting Ready at the Hotel

The day began at their hotel, where Rachelle enjoyed a relaxed morning while getting her hair and makeup done by Lana, one of our favorite local artists. All the timing was already mapped out in their custom timeline, so they didn’t have to check the clock or manage any logistics since we had it covered.

Once she was ready, the two of them got dressed separately to keep the excitement building. Brian drove with Salvador to their ceremony location at Eklutna Lake, while I rode with Rachelle, helping her finalize her vows and enjoy a few quiet moments before the day fully began.

First Look and Ceremony at Eklutna Lake

At the lake, the mountains were reflected on the calm surface of the water. Brian walked Salvador down to the shoreline for a private first look. When Rachelle arrived, you could feel the emotion between them immediately. After they had a few minutes to soak it all in, I led their ceremony right there on the beach. They stood side by side, exchanging vows as the light shifted across the water.

Next, we landed at a glacier-fed lake where huge icebergs floated in the distance and wildflowers stretched across the shore. The two of them spread out a blanket and shared a custom charcuterie board created by Alaska Berry & Board. Once we returned to the helicopter base, we took a break from photos and all grabbed dinner together. Since this was late June in Alaska, we still had plenty of daylight left. To end the day, we visited a scenic overlook in Palmer. Rachelle and Salvador lit a unity candle and cut their wedding cake, which was a carrot cake decorated with a mountain design they had requested. We had collected their cake preferences earlier in the planning process and worked with a local baker to bring their vision to life. It was the perfect final touch to a day full of thoughtful details.
