Homer is a coastal town surrounded by mountains and ocean, with access to some incredible backcountry locations by floatplane. Most couples come to us excited about Alaska but overwhelmed by where to start. There are thousands of miles of coastline, glaciers, mountains, remote cabins, helicopters, floatplanes, and more possibilities than anyone could reasonably research on their own.
That's where we come in. We've spent years exploring Alaska ourselves, building relationships with local pilots, captains, guides, and vendors, and helping couples turn big ideas into actual wedding days that feel personal and stress-free.
Our role goes beyond photography. We help with locations, timelines, permits, logistics, backup plans, and all the little details that can make Alaska feel overwhelming at first.

What an Alaska elopement costs
The cost of eloping in Alaska depends on the location, activities, and how much of the day is photographed. From photography and planning to all-inclusive helicopter and floatplane experiences, here's a breakdown of what you can expect to spend.
Photography and planning
Our Photography & Planning packages, which include photography and planning, start at $6,000. Most couples tend to invest $7,000 to $12,000, although all-inclusive experiences with additional activities and vendors can cost more.
Helicopter elopement package
Our Alaska helicopter elopement package starts at $9,200, thanks to a longstanding relationship with one of our helicopter partners. Other locations and custom helicopter experiences are available at an additional cost.
Homer floatplane all-inclusive

Alaska marriage license: state fee

What if we don't know exactly what we want yet?
If you don't know exactly what you want your elopement day to look like, we're here to help! One of our favorite things about Alaska elopements is helping our couples figure out all of the details, including the where, how, when, and what. We will work together to help you figure everything out so it's exaclty what you're lookng for!
When is the best time to elope in Alaska?
The best time to elope in Alaska is late June - August for long summer days and warm weather or late August - mid September for fewer crowds, fall colors, and moody mountain weather. Winter is its own magical time entirely with snowy forests, dog sledding, and a quiet that's hard to find anywhere else.
Do we need permits to elope in Alaska?
Not always! Whether you need a permit to elope in Alaska depends on your ceremony location and group size. National parks like Kenai Fjords generally require wedding permits, while eopements on Alaska state land, in national forests, or on BLM land may not require a permit. We'll help you figure out what's required for your specific location.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather is bad on your Alaska elopement day, we always have backup locations ready and we build flexibility into your timeline so we can pivot. We'll also stay in close contact with our pilots, captains, and guides who know local conditions better than anyone. If something needs to shift on the day, we handle it and you won't miss a beat.

Do we need to hike or be extremely adventurous to elope in Alaska?
No, you do not need to hike to have an Alaska elopement. Not even a little. Some of our couples are hardcore hikers and some of them just want to get somewhere beautiful without breaking a sweat, and Alaska can do both. Helicopters, floatplanes, and boats get you to incredible places without a single trail. We'll match the experience to what actually sounds fun to you.
